The Grambling Black and Gold Foundation, Inc. will host a comprehensive capital campaign kick-off gala Nov. 23 in New Orleans at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. The black tie event will start at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Ile De France Ballroom at the hotel. The event will include a reception, an overview of the campaign and entertainment by the F.L. Sandle Players of the Speech and Theatre Department, the Music Department and the Orchesis Dance Company. Special entertainment will be presented by the national recording group Sweet Honey in The Rock.
“Reclaiming Our Legacy and Claiming Our Place” is the theme for the campaign celebration. The campaign is designed to assist the university secure resources for enhancement. The event will mark the public phase of the campaign. Through scholarship endowments, contributions and bequests, donors are able to invest in student success.
