The Grambling tiger football team improved their record to 6-1 after a victory Saturday against JSU 30-20.The G-Men jumped out early after a touchdown run by Cornelius Walker made the score 7-0 in the 1st quarter.
Jackson answered with a touchdown pass from Jimmy Oliver to Chris Johnson making the score 7-7.
After a fumble by Reginald Jackson, JSU captured the lead on an Eric Perri field goal which made the score 10-7.
The G-Men added another field goal and at the end of the first quarter the score was 10-10.
In the second quarter Brandon Landers connected with Clyde Edwards on a touch down pass making the score 17-10.
After a touchdown run by Erik Haw, Grambling added a field goal to end the half which gave them a 20-17 led.
Grambling added a field goal in the third quarter making the score 23-17 and after a Zaire Wilborn touch down on a JSU fumble, Grambling defense secured the 30-20 victory.
The Tigers will face TSU this Saturday at Robinson stadium.
