The Grambling State University National Alumni Association Dallas chapter has released a schedule of events for the upcoming Grambling State vs Prairie View weekend.The host hotel will be the Renaissance Dallas Hotel 2222 Stemmons Freeway (I-35E North, Exit Wycliff) Dallas and phone number is (214) 631-2222 or (800) 811-8893.
The weekend activities will kickoff an Alumni Breakfast (check website for location and time).
Friday, Sept. 28: GSU President’s Reception at 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Lancaster Middle School; Pep Rally with GSU Marching Band at 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Lancaster Middle School Auditorium, followed by the 3rd Annual High School Step Show from 8:30 – 11 p.m. Hospitality Suite – Renaissance Hotel (See Front Desk for Room) 7 p.m. – midnight.
Saturday, Sept. 29: Battle of the High School Bands – 8 a.m. – 12 noon – Jessie Owens Athletic Complex Interstate 20 West @ Polk St. – West of I-35E South. State Fair Classic – 6 p.m. (Texas Cotton Bowl) Hospitality Suite – Renaissance Hotel – See Front Desk for Room – 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
