Services for Alashia Marie Davis was held Saturday, Aug. 4 at Shiloh B.C. in Bienville. Davis died in a car accident during July. She was born to James Bell and Minnie Bell on June 27, 1988. After graduating from Bienville High School as valedictorian in May 2006, Davis was a sophomore honor student at Grambling State University, majoring in elementary education.

In remembrance, Mary Hill recalled Alashia Davis as outstanding in academics. A person who loved her family, friends, church and school. She always stood ready to give a helping hand, and she set her sights high to achieve great things.

Davis’s three sisters recall her as being full of life. They will miss her smile and laughter. She taught them to be their best and never hold a grudge for and always be a loyal friend.

Her parents recall the most devastating thing was they didn’t get to say goodbye.
