People believed that he wanted too much for his work and that he would not live up to expectations. However, Rush Hour 3 finally hit the theatres on Aug. 10 and has been dubbed, “The Funniest Movie of the Year, and the Funniest Rush Hour of them all”. Along with Jackie Chan (Chief Inspector Lee), the two are once again on another mission to find out who attempted to kill Ambassador Han, a Chinese council member, and why.
During the process, Lee meets his evil brother Kenji, who pulled the trigger at Ambassador Han, and Lee is forced to let Kenji escape due to his love for his brother.
The duo discovers that the enemies are not actually Chinese, but rather French. The detectives travel to Paris on a wild goose chase in search of Triad (Chinese mafia) members. Detectives Carter and Lee risk theirs lives to save a young lady by the name of Genevieve because she holds a list of Dragon Heads, Leaders of the Triads, tattooed on the back of her head. The Triads are in desperate search for her to kill her and anybody that gets in their way.
The movie is jam packed with a lot of laughter and a lot of action. Brett Ratner who was the director of this adventurous film. Ratner also directed Rush Hour 2. The movie ran for about 90 minutes and cost about $140 million to make.
According to many critics, the movie did not meet expectations. Some say the storyline was not as serious as it should be. Some say the series should have ended after the second movie.
But two things is perfectly clear about the movie. It indeed was hilarious and Chris Tucker did what many thought he was not going to be able to do, and that was live up to his expectations.
Rush Hour 3 is still in theaters all over at this present time. Be sure to go check it out at a theater near you.
