It gives me great pleasure and honor to welcome you to Grambling State University, the world famed and internationally acclaimed HBCU of the South.
My name is Omar Jones, and I am the 2007-2008 president of the Favrot Student Union Board. I am proud to say, with over 100 organizations on this campus, we are the largest student-based organization.
As a major student programming organization, the Favrot Student Union Board is charged with development of activities in the areas of traditions, artistic and cultural, hospitality, publicity, featured attractions and lagniappe.
The Favrot Student Union Board is an organization where students can learn and practice leadership, programming, social responsibility and interpersonal skills.
It also compliments the academic program of study and enhances your overall educational experience through the development of, exposure to and participation in social, cultural and recreational programs.
This year, we are striving for accountability and productivity. So we work hard, so you can play hard. Much time and thought have been put into the planning of activities and events.
We hope that you will take full interest and participate in everything that the Favrot Student Union Board has to offer you. We are on the second floor of the Favrot Student Union, located in the center of campus.
