T. H. Dosher was recognized posthumously as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in Sports Journalism by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Hall of Fame induction dinner and ceremonies held in Natchitoches Saturday, June 23.
Edward Glenn Lewis, Grambling photographer and Yearbook director, gave background on the life Mr. Dosher better know to most as Pete.
“It was an honor for me to reflect the history of a man that had done so much for the field,” Lewis said.
The Dosher family attended the ceremony with honor and pride. His son Karl accepted the award for the family.
“My dad belived in hard work and he lived his life that way., he would always say just do your job and do it the best you can,” said Karl.
“I wish Pete was a live to accept the award,” expressed Mary Dosher, widow.
