Chase poses short production outage
Students will NOT be able to use their Grambling debit cards on Saturday, June 16 due to a scheduled Production System Outage starting at 2 a.m. central time and projected to end the same day at 10 a.m. central time.

The Elizabeth Robinson Chapter of the Grambling University National Alumni Association will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at the Grambling Town Hall meeting room.
All GSU graduates living in Lincoln Parish are encouraged to attend. Another meeting date is scheduled for Saturday, July 21.

Summer arts camps available for kids
This year marks the 20th anniversary for NCLAC, the North Central Louisiana Arts Council. Throughout its history, NCLAC’s Summer Arts Camp for Kids has remained one of its most popular programs. These interactive art workshops offer instruction in painting, drawing, hands-on-crafts, and drama.
This summer, weeklong camps will be held in Ruston, Farmerville, Arcadia, Homer, and Jonesboro. The camps are for children who have completed grades 1-6 and will meet Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until noon. The cost is only $50 per student, thanks to generous support from Saint-Gobain Containers and other sponsors.

Gallot to serve on rural caucus
State Rep. Rick Gallot has been appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana House of Representatives Rural Caucus.
“It is an honor to serve in a leadership position in this organization. The Rural Caucus is instrumental in promoting the objectives of the state’s rural areas and was organized specifically for this purpose. By working together, rural legislators are more effective and can better represent the similar interests of their districts and bring attention to their issues and concerns,” Gallot said.
Gallot, who represents District 11, was first elected to the House in 2000. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the House & Governmental Affairs Committee and as a member of the committees on Civil Law & Procedure, and Judiciary. He also serves on the House Enrollment Committee.
The Rural Caucus, which was founded in 1979, consists of 67 House members.

Staff sets deadline for summer issue
The Gramblinite staff has set a deadline of Friday, June 29 at 4 p.m.
The staff is accepting information to be published in the Thursday, July 12 issue of The Gramblinite from all Grambling State University departments as well as community citizens. Information may be emailed to gsugnite@yahoo.com or placed in GSU Box 4292. Information can also be faxed to 274-3194 to be published in the last paper during the summer.
