Homecoming 2006 festivities begin with a big bang

Homecoming 2006 festivities are under way and there are several events that have already taken place.

The Haunted House and the campus trick or treat are a couple of the events that late-arriving alumni have already missed

The Gramblinite would like to take the time to welcome alumni, family and friends to GSU.

During your stay, we know this will indeed be the place ” Where Everybody is Somebody.”

 

THURSDAY

Homecoming Talent Showcase, 7 p.m., T.H. Harris Auditorium. Tickets: $3 for students, $5 for general admission.

 

FRIDAY

QUARTERBACK CLUB LUNCHEON, noon, Washington-Johnson Complex, with special performance by Miko Marks, singer-songwriter/GSU alumna.

 

GSU Hall of Fame Banquet, 7 p.m., Intramural Center, with special guest Miko Marks

 

Homecoming Concert, 8 p.m., with Young Dro, Letoya Luckett and Yung Joc, Men’s Memorial Gymnasium.

 

SATURDAY

HOMECOMING PARADE, 9 a.m., routed through Main Street on campus.

 

HOMECOMING GAME, 3 p.m., GSU vs. Alabama State, Robinson Stadium, with Euclid Gray from Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns singing the national anthem.

 

PRE-BAYOU CLASSIC GREEK SHOW, 8 p.m., Men’s Gymnasium, hosted by Comedian Joe Clair. Tickets: $5 for students, $10 for general admission.
