Editor’s thoughts
Don’t get it twisted. Bruce Eugene will make one heck of a QB at the NFL level. While many have him pegged to go down in the sixth or seventh round, I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody picked him up in the third or fourth round. Mel Kiper Jr. has said some good things about Eugene as well, so that’s a plus.
One person many are sleeping on is Jason Hatcher. This guy is an unbelievable player, and I’m surprised there hasn’t been more hype around him. Hatcher has proven himself in the SWAC, and could be something like Simeon Rice on the NFL level.
Like before, Grambling will have someone drafted to the NFL. Both Eugene and Hatcher will become essential players for some NFL team soon.
Luckily, both of these guys won’t have to worry about getting adjusted to fame. With Grambling on the map, they are used to fame when they go places. That’s a plus for both players.
Anyone who thinks that Eugene and Hatcher are not good, just look at the stats from last season. If the stats aren’t proof, ask any GSU alum what they think.
Ready or not, the NFL draft is about to see two unbelievable players enter the league. Oh, if you guys would like to give me anything, just make out the word from the first sentence of each paragraph…and add an S.
