Football season is back ladies and gentlemen! Well, spring football that it is.

The Grambling State University Football team wrapped up their annual spring Black & Gold football game last Saturday. Fans came out to Robinson stadium to watch the G-men polish the spring exercises, and there weren\’d5t left disappointed.

"The football team played great today," stated Cardel Handy, freshman GSU student. "Both sides played great football. I really don’t believe the lost of Bruce Eugene will hurt the team this upcoming season." On the field, you could see the hard work, dedication, and long practices helped to improve the team. The Gold team, led by Brandon Landers, won 27-11. Landers, who started two years ago, threw an 80-yeard touchdown to wide receiver LaKeldrick Bridges for the best play of the game.

"Landers had an awesome game today," stated Handy."He will be the leader this year." The G-men will kick off the season in Birmingham, AL against Hampton University on Sept. 2.
