On Friday, Bobby Valentino, Nivea and the Youngbloodz will appear in concert at Grambling State University, an event sponsored by the Favrot Student Union Board. The concert will be in the Men’s Gym.
Valentino is currently a member of Ludacris’ Disturbing The Peace record label. His self-titled CD hit stores earlier this year, and he has made a big impact with his debut single “Slow Down” and his latest single “Tell Me” featuring Lil’ Wayne.
Nivea, fresh from childbirth and her latest CD Complicated, returns to the stage to prove that she still has it. Nivea’s single “Okay” featuring the Youngbloodz blazed the airwaves during the summer, and her latest single, “Parking Lot,” has been getting major airplay.
The Youngbloodz got their rise to fame with the help of Lil’ Jon on the hit single “Damn!” Their latest single “Presidential” has already begun getting play. Their latest CD Ev’rybody Know Me hits stores on Nov. 22.
These artists all have achieved a high level of fame in a short time in their careers. They have albums that have attained platinum status.
As Friday approaches and the Homecoming festivities come to an end, the concert is one of the high points of Homecoming Week. Tickets are $8 for students; $15 for nonstudents.
