Rapper Releases Shoes, Clothing Line, Album

Rapper Kanye West has been doing a lot to build his brand as his clothing line debuted Feb. 12, he released his first shoe with Adidas, and announced he will have a new album to be released May 10 of this year.

On Feb. 28, the rapper tweeted a picture of the cover artwork of the album as well as the title So Help Me God. This is a much-anticipated album as fans have been waiting since 2013 for a major project. Yeezus was the rapper’s last album.

The first song off the project entitled “Wolves,” was debuted at the launch of West’s clothing line Feb. 12 during New York Fashion Week and later performed on “Saturday Night Live.” The song features Vic Mensa as well as Sia. Other songs that have been released off the project are “Only One” and a song that features Paul McCartney entitled “All Day.”

On the same day, Feb. 28, he officially released his first signature shoe with Adidas, the Yeezy 750 Boost. On Feb. 14, a limited number of the rapper’s signature shoe was released for $350 where the rapper showed up in person to deliver and sign shoes for his fans. A second release was held Feb. 21 and a final release is set for March 26 at select Foot Locker locations in Europe.

At the debut of his clothing line, many prominent celebrities were present such as Rihanna, P. Diddy, Justin Bieber, Beyonce and of course the Kardashians. There were also several fashion designers in attendance like Alexander Wang.

The show featured his wife Kim as well as his sister-in-law Kylie. The different designs the models displayed were different to say the least. Different designs brought a different look for each of the models.

The rapper’s brand has been building as of late and Kanye looks to keep expanding going forward.
