Grambling High school council president speaks

Adarian Demonte’ Williams, a 17 year-old senior, is currently serving his second term as the Student Council president of Grambling State University Laboratory High School.

“As Student Council president, I want the student body to take advantage of the expertise of each faculty member and to set high expectations and realistic goals. I  plan to encourage them to actively participate in school activities,” said Adarian. 

“I have had the honor of attending Grambling laboratory Schools since kindergarten,” said Williams.

He is a member of the 4-H Club, National Honor Society, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), the Publications Committee and trombone section leader in the marching band.

Adarian was recently crowned Mr. Beautillion 2013, sponsored by the links Inc. 

After graduation, he plans to attend GSU, majoring in either vocal music or pre-law. 

His life’s motto is “Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.”

Williams, a native of Ruston, is the son of Patricia A. Brantley and Payton Russell Mayfield Jr
