TigerFest 2022 to begin Friday

 

Grambling State University’s Favrot Student Union Board has announced the events for TigerFest 2022. 

The theme for the week of events is “All Roads Lead to Exit 81.” 

TigerFest begins Friday and will commence and will run through April 7. 

April 1 events include a Zydeco and Crawfish Boil starting at 1 p.m. In conjunction with Campus Living and Housing, that event will feature guest artist Lil Nate. 

On Saturday, the GSU football team will host its spring game at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium. 

The game will start at 2 p.m. 

There are two events scheduled for Monday —“Gramily Field Day” and “Lyrics and Flow.” The field day will start at 2 p.m. at the old GSU track while the Lyrics and Flow event start at 6 p.m. in the T.H. Harris Auditorium. That event is in conjunction with Lyceum and will have a special guest, Harold Green.

Tuesday will have one event on the Quad — “The Dance Battle,” which will start at noon.

Then on Wednesday, “The Black Market Exchange” and “Non-Greek/Greek Stepshow” will take place. The Black Market Exchange will be at the Student Union Courtyard starting at 11 a.m and the step show will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday will be the last day of TigerFest 2022 and will feature two events — “Trendsetter Thursday” and the “Student Choice Awards” Met Gala. 

“Trendsetter Thursday” will be held in the Student Union Courtyard and will begin at noon. The Met Gala for students will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. in the T.H. Harris Auditorium. 

Each event will be for GSU students only, and a student ID will be needed to enter buildings for events.
