Who will run the yard this semester?
An Organization Fair was held earlier this month where all Grambling State Universi- ty organizations came out to showcase their group.
The event was well need- ed after campus fully opened back up after Covid-19.
Many students on campus came out to show their faces and see if there was an orga- nization they would be inter- ested in joining.
Every organization is look- ing to go after the “throne” (being the most popular).
The event helps organiza- tions get their name out to
the students and try to recruit students to join the group.
“I feel like due to Covid a lot of people forgot about us because we couldn’t do any- thing face-to-face,” student James Farley said.
It has been a full school year since the last in-person event, let alone an even spon- sored by an organization.
Participants were able to see many happy faces and or- ganizations set up displays to show prospective members what their groups offered.
Many campus groups were represented including fraternities and sororities.
“It is very effective to have a face-to-face event. It’s been a calendar year since we were able to do something like this and there are many new students and transfers who don’t know who we are,”Farley said.

Organizations across campus were represented at the event.
