Grambling’s choir is celebrating Black History Month differently this year.

Amid the continuous waves of the novel Coronavirus, the choir has planned to host a virtual performance during one of their generally busiest months of the year.

“Black History Month is very very busy for us.  Being that we are in the midst of a pandemic, this month we are going to put out our own virtual presentation,” said Natorshau Davis, head of the GSU choir of nine years.

The choir is known for being booked to perform negro spirituals and African American art songs.

According to ksla.com the choir had plans to travel abroad to perform in Paris before the Covid outbreak, and still anticipate carrying out that plan.
