For more than 10 years, the campus has celebrated student achievements at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

The event is a day-long celebration of undergraduate student research and creativity.

Over 100 students from various disciplines will come together to share their creative discoveries and present in-depth research and scholarly work to their peers, faculty and the University communities.

Submissions come from across the disciplines – physical and social sciences, healthcare, computer science, humanities, mathematics, visual arts and performing art.

More than 20 posters and 60 presentations and exhibits showcase the diversity of students’ experiences – from creative endeavors like painting exhibitions or more traditional research activities.

The Symposium is the pre- in order to be consider for the ULS Academic Summit. This year, Grambling will host summit April 11-12. At that time, all nine schools in the ULS will compete in Tigerland.

“We are extremely excited that the faculty and students will be able to display their work, and to talk about the research that being done at Grambling State University,” said Dr. Ellen Smiley, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs.
