Commentary: Soulja Boy is a Legend

On Jan. 16 Soulja Boy made an appearance on the Breakfast Club where he talked  with popular radio hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne The God.

Soulja Boy screamed during the interview that he taught Drake everything he knows. Soulja Boy rapped bars from one of Drake’s hit songs “Miss Me”. Soulja Boy claimed that Drake took the title and lines from his 2007 song “What’s Hannenin”.

It’s clear that Soulja Boy wanted to be respected as an artist. The real question many are discussing, is Soulja Boy really a legend? I believe that Soulja Boy should receive credit for his ideas and lines that other artist have used.

Furthermore, Soulja Boy should definitely be considered a legend. He has paved the way for so many artists.

Soulja Boy’s creativity has allowed for him to have his own style of music. He made so many hits.

Obviously other music artists still – to this day – steal his lyrics and flow. He is very different and likes to create history. Soulja Boy was the first rapper to create a video game console.

The interview has went viral and fans meme’s were trending on Twitter for days.

The legends music streams increased enormously. Soulja Boy really is a legend and should be treated like one.
