Rising Junior Exam to be held on Oct. 22-26 for GET300 students
The Rising Junior Exam, a proctored online test required for graduation, will be held Oct. 22-26 in Room 322 of Charles P Adams building. The requirements to be able to take the exam are that students must have registered in GET300 via the Registrar’s Office, and a test date and time must have been scheduled via Banner Web.
The steps for picking test day and time on Banner Web are: log on to Banner Web; click the Students Testing Center Link, Registration; complete the registration form; scroll down to the bottom and choose day/time to take the exam.

Class to train active bystanders scheduled for Oct. 23 on campus
The Louisiana Board of Regents is hosting a free class to train active bystanders on Oct. 23 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Favrot Student Union Room 242.
     An active bystander is someone who not only witnesses a situation, but takes steps to speak up or step in to keep the situation from escalating or to disrupt a problematic situation.

Microsensor technologies to be subject of seminar on Oct. 25
An assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, will be the guest speaker next week for the Office of Sponsored Programs Fall 2018 Seminar Series at Grambling State.
Dr. Prabhu U Arumugam, who is affiliated with the Institute for Micromanufacturing and the Center for Biomedical Engineering & Rehabilitation Science at Tech, will speak at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Grambling Hall Auditorium. His topic will be “Advancing Electrochemical Microsensor Technologies for Multiplexed Real-Time Chemical Sensing.”

KGRM’s Annual Radiothon to be held 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Nov. 2
Grambling State University’s Radio Station KGRM is hosting its Seventh Annual Radiothon on the second floor of Washington-Johnson Complex on Nov. 2.
     The live broadcast will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. KGRM is asking for your help to raise their goal of $50,000 for academic scholarships and recruitment/retention efforts.
