FSUB sponsors free movie screening of Hate You Give
The Favrot Student Union Board will be offering a free advanced screening of the movie The Hate U Give on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 6:30 PM.
It will be shown at Celebrity Theaters in Ruston and there is a free shuttle provided.
Everyone must RSVP using there Grambling email (NO Exceptions). There would be a post-screening panel discussion.

Rising Junior Exam to be held on Oct. 15-19 and Oct. 22-26 2018
The Rising Junior Exam, a proctored online test required for graduation, will be held Oct. 15-19 and October 22-26 2018 in Room 322 of Charles P Adams building. The requirements to be able to take the exam are that students must have registered in GET300 via the Registrars Office, and a test date and time must have been scheduled via Banner Web.
The process for picking test day and time on Banner Web are: log on to Banner Web; click the Students, Testing Center Link, Registration; complete the registration form; scroll down to the bottom and choose day/time to take the exam. Alpha Theta AKAs hosts shoe drive until Oct 19. and other event

Students sought to attend HBCU Marketplace in November
The Office of Career Services looking for students to represent Grambling State University at the 11th Annual HBCU Career Development Marketplace.
The Marketplace helps students prepare for professional opportunities and greater productivity after graduation. It will be held Nov. 7-9 at the University of Maryland in College Park.
Interested students must have a 3.0 GPA or above, be a junior or senior and have an approved resume. Students are also required to attend the “How to Navigate a Career Fair” workshop at 3 p.m. Oct. 1 in Grambling Hall.

GSUPD cracking down on parking violators across campus
The Grambling State University Police Department has started issuing tickets across campus for vehicles without university parking permits.
All students, faculty and staff must obtain parking decals from the Traffic Office, Room 171 in Long-Jones Hall, or risk being ticketed.
The cost is $14 for students, $30 for faculty and staff.
On-campus students are not permitted to drive to class between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Commuting students should park in the designated parking lots for commuters as designated:
• On Dickerson Street, between Charles P. Adams and Woodson
• On Cole Street, south side facing Charles P. Adams
• On the front row of Charles P. Adams Hall, facing RWE Jones Drive
• On the north end of the A.C. Lewis Memorial Library
• On Blalock Street, where the white paint starts behind the basketball court
• Lot in the front, on the right, of the Conrad Hutchinson Jr. Performing Arts Building
• Lot across from the University Police headquarters, near the St. Benedict Catholic Center
• At the Performing Arts building, on the left side when facing the building
Commuter lots are painted white and faculty/staff lots are yellow.
Parking handbooks can be obtained at the Traffic Office online or in Room 171 Long-Jones Hall.
Tickets will be issued for the following violations:
• Parking on the lawn
• Parking in a No Parking Zone
• Parking in a Handicap parking spot.
