Greetings Gramblinites, on behalf of the Student Government Association, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Grambling State University, the place “Where Everybody is Somebody”!
It is an honor to greet you as the 2018-2019 Student Government Association President. Grambling State University is one of the world’s greatest Historically Black Colleges/Universities that combines the academic strengths of a major university with the benefits of a small college, a combination that enables our students to grow and learn in a serene and positive environment. The sole purpose of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to serve the student body by concentrating on every aspect of student life and spending countless hours ensuring the needs of the students are met.
The SGA also plays an integral role in the university’s ethos and strongly contributes to our longstanding legacy of tradition, service and excellence. For the 2018-2019 academic school year, we “Dare 2 Lead” with a progressive development of ideas to advance the student body, our lives, our education, and our institution.
With that being said, I encourage you with 1 Corinthians 15:58,“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm! Let nothing move you! Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
I look forward to serving with each of you and pray that your tenure here at Grambling State University is a prosperous one.
