The Football Wives group is extending an invitation to alumni and friends of Grambling State University. 
The Golden Masquerade ball will be held Saturday, April 9 at the Ruston Civic Center, 401 N. Trenton Street. The evening of elegance will feature dinner, live music, a D.J. and dancing. A limited amount of tickets are available at $65 per person and $500 for a table of eight.
“I would first like to thank all of you for your donations towards the first Football Wives Golden Masquerade. It was a great success, and it truly would not have been without your financial support,” said Kimbia Jones-Fobbs, group leader.
Fobbs said, “Last year our goal was to create an annual event to raise funds to help close the gap in athletic funding and help meet student athlete needs. This year our goal is to raise $20,000.”
The funds will allow the group to provide each athletic coach with a small gap fund to help supplement minor needs for their programs throughout the year.
