Union Board holds ‘Glow Bingo’

The Favrot Student Union Board Featured Attractions Committee put on an event for the students called Glow in the Dark Bingo on last week.

If you are unfamiliar, this board has different committees that plans activities throughout the year for students to enjoy themselves. This event was a huge hit last semester, so FSUB decided to hold the event again, and even more students showed up for a night full of fun as well as 18 prizes.

In the Black and Gold Room were backlights set up around the room. Even glow sticks were passed out some glow sticks to liven up the evening.

“It was fun, different, and interesting to play a game where we could have friendly competition with our classmates and win different prizes and I hope they have this even again,” said psychology major Jericha Richards.

FSUB Featured Attractions board member Christina Bluford said that she and the FSUB put a lot in planning this event.“Printing out Bingo cards, cutting up chips for people to mark their boards with, and getting the prizes for the winners,” she said.

A pro and a con that Bluford mentioned was that there were a lot more people who showed up at the event than there were last semester, and she wished she prepared more for the bigger crowd.

Some of the prize winners include Ivyonne Miller, Erica Goodperry, Jericha Richards and Mylon Jones. “I had a lot of fun and am happy the school puts on events like these,” said Jones, a freshman.

Some of the prizes that were passed out included pens and pencils, a backpack, playing cards, soda and candy.

For students who are wondering if they will see this event in the future, the chair of the committee responded: “I will be graduating in December so I won’t be able to be on the FSUB Advisory Board again, but I hope that whomever comes after me will continue the event every semester.”
