Lady Tigers team up with Grambling Chamber

The Grambling State University Lady Tigers took time out of their busy schedule of basketball season to lend a helping hand to the Greater Grambling Chamber.

The two groups combined to give back to the elderly in the community.

The Grambling Lady Tigers paid a visit to Pecan Villa in Ruston, Louisiana. Breakfast was served to the elderly by the GSU Lady Tigers.

There were door prizes given and gift bags as well as special items.

The Lady Tigers and some Chamber members spent a couple of hours playing bingo with the residents as well.

In attendance from the Grambling Chamber was Barbara McIntyre, president, Pam McIntyre, secretary and a member of the Chamber Monique Pruitt.

"It's great to be back home and give back to those in need for the holiday season, I look forward to more events with the Chamber," Pruitt said.

"My whole staff and the girls were ready to help and we enjoyed it," said Nadine Domond, Granmbling State University women’s head basketball coach.

Prior to going into the community, the Lady Tigers helped wrap gifts for children that were donated to the KGRM Toy Drive and the Christian Community Action program in Ruston, Louisiana.

Donations for the events were provided by the Greater Grambling Chamber of Commerce and Coach Domond.
