Reverend Thomas T. Nsubuga was installed as Vicar of St. Luke's Episcopal Chapel of Grambling Sunday, March 22. Rt. Reverend D. Bruce MacPherson, bishop of the Diocese of Western Louisiana, presided over the services.I had the oppurtunity to interview the new pastor of St. Lukes Episcopal about, the reason why he decided to bring his teachings to the Grambling community.

Q "How does it feel going from shreveport to a smaller community like Grambling.

A "It is a honor to come to this church, in fact, this community. For such a smaller town the faith is strong, it would really give me the oppurtunity to connect with the Baptist college ministry.

Q "Being that you have only been here since December 2008. What are some of the challenges that you have faced.

A "Just helping the church to grow, reaching more college students that have faith questions, espicapal affiliations, also whats lacking in the past (faith wise).

Q "In talking to you, and recapping I here much determination and wanting to really emphasis the meaning religious practice.

A "Discussing the old and new testament, also connecting spiritually with god.

It was really spiritual talking to Reverend Nsubuga, talk about his home country, Ugunda, Africa and how the practices of faith and religious teachings, he is trying to bring here and really just taking in all that he has received.

Reverend Nsubuga said St. Lukes will hold its regular Holy Week services beginning Thursday, April 9 at 6 p.m., Friday at noon and ending on Sunday, April 12 with the 10 a.m. service.

The church is located at Main and Adams streets in Grambling. For information call (318) 247-6669.
